The membership of NIPM is recognition of the high standards of your professional attainments and your commitment to the causes and furtherance of professionalism in the management and development of human resources to which NIPM is devoted. It provides you chance to establish valuable contacts with fellow members, exchange ideas and information and represent issues of common concern at national and local forums. As a member you are entitled to

a. Attend and participate in the meetings, discussions, lectures, film shows and other programmes organized by the Institute or its Chapters
b. Participate at concessional rates in the management training and development programmes organized by NIPM or its regions and Chapters
c.A copy of Institutes quarterly journal ‘Personnel Today’ and a copy of its news bulletin: ‘NIPM News’ free of charge.
d.A copy of the quarterly publication “Industry Harmony” by the concerned Chapter at free of charge
e. The use of library and information center at NIPM National Office and the concerned Chapter

Eligibility

_ Associate Member ::

a. Recognized degree or diploma in Personnel Management/Industrial Relations/Labour welfare, passed or at least a degree or its equivalent in any other stream and has thus acquired adequate knowledge of Personnel Management/ Industrial Relations/Labour welfare, and

b. is holding a managerial or administrative position in an industrial, trading or commercial organization

_ Corporate Member ::

For admission to Corporate Membership, an individual should possed the qualification as at above, and in addition

a. have atleast 3 years practical experience in any assignment in personnel management/ Industrial relations/ Labour Welfare, or atleast 5 years practical experience in case of a degree or its equivalent in any other stream and

b. be holding a managerial or administrative or staff training position in any industrial, trading or commericial organization and be dealing mainly with Personnel Management or Industrial relations or Labour Welfare or any branch or any aspect of them; or be working as Advisor/ Consultant to any Industrial, Training Commercial or Employer's Organization and be dealing mainly with Personnel Management or Industrial relations or Labour Welfare or any branch or any aspect of them; or be engaged as full time teacher in Personnel Management or Industrial relations or Labour Welfare in any recogonized educational institution.

_ Life Member ::

Any individual who is eligible to become a corporate member or who ia already a corporate member may become a Life member by making a one-time payment of Rupees 5,000/-

_ Student Member ::

An individual who is undergoing a recogonized course, either for a degree aor diploma in Personnel Management or Industrial Relations or Labour Welfare, may be admitted to student Membership.

_ Institutional Member ::

The central or state Government or any local self government body or corporation, statutory or otherwise, or any organization or any institution or any association, whether incorporated or not, which subsscribe to and is interested in furtherence of the objects of the Institute is eligible for Institutional Membership.

How to apply

An application form in the prescribed format is to be filled up, proposed and seconded by Life/Corporate members of the Institute and duly recommended by the concerned Chapter is to be sent to the General Secretary of the NIPM at Kolkata along with the Demand Draft/Cheque for the Entrance fee and annual subscription fee.
