5 1/2 Working Days

Hi,

If a company is working for 5 1/2 days a week and if an employee takes leave on Saturday which is 1/2 day working for the company then how his leave of that day is calculated?

Is it counted as 1/2 day or 1 full day?

Can you ps. let me know what system is being followed in your company?

Dear Member

We are paying full day salary on  satrudary that means half day, so it is applicable for leave also.

You have to deduct one day leave not half day.

Dear Rehaan,

As mentioned by Mr. Ramesh, If the employee is paid full salary for working half day on Saturday then in case of leave his full day leave should be considered. It is even applicable for LWP as well. In case of LWP full day salary should be deducted.
