Assessment center exercises

Dear colleagues,

I am looking for simulations, exercise baskets and practices that you use for assessment centres in your organization.

In addition, have they really helped manage your talent pipeline in the past and currently?

Regards,
Ekta

Re: Assessment center exercises

Assessment centers are particularly useful where:

* Required skills are complex and cannot easily be assessed with interview or simple tests.
* Required skills include significant interpersonal elements (e.g. management roles).
* Multiple candidates are available and it is acceptable for them to interact with one another.

The assessment center usually includes the following:-

1. Business game
2. Leaderless group discussion
3. In-tray exercise
4. Personality test
5. Intelligence tests

Hope this helps :-)

Re: Assessment center exercises

Ekta,

You need to keep in mind that the outcome of any assessment center is based on the judgments of the assessors and hence the quality of those judgments.
